Wireless Switch
Wireless switches are available in both hardware and software. Due to varied technologies and network topologies these have become essential part of wireless infrastructure. We can work in this domain and develop software and hardware switches.
Wireless switches are available in both hardware and software. Due to varied technologies and network topologies these have become essential part of wireless infrastructure. We can work in this domain and develop software and hardware switches.
- One of the most important task here would be to first make a robust architecture to handle data streams between networks.
Parametrs of Importance would be: - Buffering mechanisms - Crossing and Switching mechanisms - optimized protocol implementations - Security
- Implementation of the switches is easy in the way that the data exchange formats of all major new technologies are easily available although their inner stack and cores may be proprietery or difficult to implement. Our applications will reside on periphery of major networking technologies providing a strong cohesive internetworking architechture between them.
- We have knowledge of few wireless domains like GSM, GPRS and can develop it in others like WLAN ,Bluetooth ,zigbee, Ultrawide band etc over the period of time . Here knowledge of stack or development will not be neccessary but how each of the above technologies provide data at their outputs and inputs and how we can extract it and stream data from one RF link to another.
- This idea also exists to switching data between wired to wireless networks including large scale existent networks like PSTN,Ethernet,Home cable networks etc.
- Implementation of such networks would involve development in genrally used languages like C,C++ and then porting to different hardware platforms or marketing these API's as it is for developers.
- Although their are key players in this domain their will be always scope of growth due to sheer size of market in this domain of wireless.

* GSM , Wireless LAN & CDMA are the technologies touching the masses and lots of people are migrating thier current application and infrastructure to newer technologies. Hence their gateways with legacy technologies like Ethernet, RS232, e-mail, internet, databases will be useful for many companies.
* In case we initially develop a architecture to interface all these technologies into a single PC software, then software gateways will be possible easily. later this architecture can be moved towards embedded systems to be used in standalone compact servers.
Thanks
