The idea behind this concept is all networks are plagued by the common problems, and our solution will adress thsese problems at a chip level and software level both.

The common problems facing all networks are :
- Bandwidth Utilization
- Error rates
- Security
- A unique solution to such multi-ojective problems lies in adpaptive algorithms like Genetic Algorithms. Optimization techniques exist for a long time that were base on deterministic algorithms, but lately adaptive algorithms like GA's are used extesively to tackle these problems.
- This problem for example require us to find maxima of Bandwidth Utilization (or speedof network) minima of Error rates and security which can be formulated in problem as minima of data on the network(by compression )and encryption .So we have to find maxima and minima of three different functions in this multi-objective problem.
- MOEA multi-objective evolutionary algorithms provide the right mechanism of solution for such problems.
- Proposal Detail:
- We develop API's based on MOEA's for solving these Network related problems. The unique point about these MOEA's is that they have a generic form that can be applied to variety of problems without knowing exactly how the problem was solved we get the "Solutions". If we develop expertise in this field then our algorithms can be used to solve generic problems in any field. There are a number of companies who have started exploring these algorithms for commercial use and have brought out products based on them. IIT kanpur has a lab called KANGAL(Kanpur Genetic Algorithms Laboratory) headed by Prof.Kalyanmoy Deb with whom I have had some association before. We can explore tie-ups with them for the Network Booster Chip after developing the API's and proting to wireless paltforms.The Network Booster chips can be the RF frontend of all wireless platforms .
