What is meaning of exception reports? and what is the use of these reports?
SUMMARY:
This section applies to "Exception reports". Through this report administrator of the software can correct invalid punches of employees.
Description:
Through exception reports administrator get information that on the date mentioned in reports employee has made invalid punches
So through log management he can add/ modify punches and afrer reprocessing can generate corrected reports.
Exception reports are generated in following conditions:
1. Invalid punches: If any employee makes odd punches like 1,3,5,7 etc. then software will treat case as exception as for reporting purpose exact punching is always required.
2. Punches are done out of shift range defined: Suppose shift is defined as from 10 AM - 6 PM and if any employee makes punch on 10 AM and make punch on 7 Pm then it will come under exception. So for this in shift master for out time admin can add grace period for 60 minutes to count that punch
