How should i encrypt data in excel reports

When i generate excel reports, i can easily modify data in the same
so how should i prevent any person from modifying its contents?
SUMMARY:
This problem comes if user do not have Office - XP version installed on the pc. So one of the solution is to install office xp version on the system or else perform following mentioned to lock the excel sheet.
Description:
Steps:
1. Click on "Excel conversion utility icon to use this utility for conversion in excel sheets.
2. In order to edit excel template go to c:\program files\BioEnable\TimeTRONIX Desk\Templates to search for the report templates.
3. At this location user will get all the templates which are used for excel reports.
4. Open Excel conversion utility. For more details see below mentioned picture
In this above mentioned picture user will be required to select first option "Template to excel file. Then he will be required to click on button to browse the required template. As soon as he select template from templates folder which is available at c:\program files\BioEnable\TimeTRONIX Desk automatically conversion path at same location will come at "To File" location.
So just click on "Decrypt" button to change template to excel sheet.
After this at same location user will get excel sheet. So he will be required to open excel sheet, then he will be required to select area which he wants to lock. Then after selecting area as mentioned in below picture for locking he will be required to select Tools -> protection -> protect sheet
and then required to enter password and click on ok button to lock the sheet / column with password. Then save that particular sheet.
5. Then again user will be required to open Excel conversion utility and will be required to select "Excel file to template" option and required to select excel report which he has currently locked. and will be required to click on "Encrypt" button to convert that excel sheet again to template.
6. Thus after that if user again generate report then he will get result that now data in excel sheet will not get modified
NOTE: This problem may come for the version other than office xp. So if any problem comes then user will be required to perform above mentioned steps. However BioEnable will not take any responsibility for such type of dependancy for locking of sheets.
