Four Scenarios for Service Personnel
Scenario 1: New Installation
1. Install Hardware, as specified in the Hardware Manual
2. Select the Server PC (with specified Configuration)
3. Install Software setup from CD
4. DO the normal settings specified in the Software Manual
Scenario 2: Database Corruption
1. Get the corrupted Database file from the Correct path
2. ZIP the Database file using Winzip
3. Send this Zipped file to support@bioenabletech.com
4. Once the DB is corrected (if possible), then Support Tem will send corrected DB to u (zipped)
5. Unzip the Corrected Database File
6. Replace this file at original Location
Scenario 3: Hardware Replacement
è TimeScan Replacement
1. Note down following information from the old TimeScan (if possible)
a. Terminal ID
b. Terminal IP address
c. Timeouts etc
2. Replace New unit and do not plug the RJ45 (LAN) cable immdtly
3. Put the above Noted values on to the New Terminal
4. Now connect the RJ45 Connector (so that the device can now get connected to the server)
5. Wait till Server synchronizes the User Data on to the terminal (if any)
6. Start using the Replaced Terminal
è Addon Card Reader Replacement (Mifare/Wiegand)
1. Check the Connectors for their correctness using the Connection diagram (Ask for Connection diagram if unavailable)
2. OPTIONAL: Use Converter cables to test the Reader on PC first
3. Connect to TimeScan device
4. If 13.5KHz Cards (Mifare)
a. Press SEL key and tehn Flash the Mifare Card on to the Reader
b. Check the LCD for the ID reflected
Scenario 4: Software Upgradation
1. Take Backup of Old EXEcutable (original)
2. Get the New EXEcutable from support@bioenabletech.com
3. Replace New EXEcutable on the Correct Path
4. Test Run the New EXEcutable.
5. Check for the New/Bug functionalities (for which the Upgrade is provided)
6. Send the Feedback to support@bioenabletech.com As soon as possible.
