How to set database password in biodesk
In order to set database password for fppayroll.mdb, perform following steps:
NOTE: In order to do this operation MS Access is required to be installed on your pc.
steps are:
1. Click on start -> programs -> Microsoft access
2. Click on File - open to open the path of database file. For more details go through above screen shot
3. Now open Fppayroll.mdb file in exclusive mode. Normal installation path of fppayroll.mdb file is c:\program files\BioEnable\Biodesk. for details go through following screen
4. Now in order to set password for the database file go to tools -> security -> set database password. for more details go through following screen
5. From the set database password . set 1234 as password. Enter same number in password box and again in verify box and click on ok. for more details go through following screen
6. Now after this close down the database and then make double click on changepwd.exe For more details go through the following screen
in order to download exe click on following screen to download the same
7. Now in "Enter new password" & "Enter new password again" box type the same password 1234 again and click on save button to set password in registry. For more details go through following screen
After this when you make double click on fppayroll.mdb you will get that password is changed with above number which we have given ie, 1234
How to change password in database second time?
In order to change password second time in the database perform following steps:
1. make double click on Biodesk.exe on desktop
2. click on setup button
3. Give password as admin
4. in general tab you will be required to click on DB password button to change the password. for more details visit following screen
Here in old password box enter old password which is given earlier for database and in new password & confirm password box enter new password which you want to assign to application.
NOTE: In order to set new password to database again you have to open the same in exclusive mode and then required to unset previous database and then set the new password defined in above box
