How to configure NAC 3000 in a Network?
The procedure for configuring Network Setting in NAC 3000 unit.
1. Press Menu option on the terminal and select option no.5 System Option. In
"System Option" go to sub-option "Auth Mode". In this set the mode of the
terminal as NL press enter. Get out of the submenu.
2. After this select the option no.7 "Network".
3. In this there are 4 sub-options.
4. Select sub-option number 1 which is "Terminal ID". Set a unique non-zero
terminal id for the terminal and press enter.
5. Select sub-option number 2 which is "TCP/IP" and press enter. In this there are
5 sub-options.
6. In this 1st option is DHCP. Keep DHCP Off and press Enter.
7. 2nd option is Terminal IP assign one IP address (free on the network) press
enter to move ahead.
8. After this enter valid Subnet Mask (3rd option).
9. Next option is "Gateway" it is required if NAC 3000 and Server are connected on
two different networks. Otherwise keep it blank.
10. Last option is Server IP in this enter IP address of the PC on which Access
Manager software (Access Server+Remote Manager) is installed.
11. You can check the network connectivy by using "Ping".
12. On successful network settings the terminal will show the "001 Contact
Master Not Registered" status only if the RM software & NAC 3000 is ON.
13. At the same time in "Terminal Managenet" option of Remote Manager
Software terminal wil get detected with status "Unregistered".
14. After this enroll this terminal in "Terminal Managenet" option of Remote
Manager Software.
15. After sucessfull completion of Network configuration the terminal is now
ready for user enrollment.
NOTE : If software is not detecting the NAC3000 Terminal after making proper
Network Settings in the NAC3000 Network option, you can check the Port
No. settings the Port No. of NAC3000 terminal is '7332' (in Network option
in the Menu of the terminal you will find 4th option as Port No.). At the PC
side the Port No. required is '7331', you can see the port no. by making
right click on the Access Server icon running in System tray of the PC.
