Log Management
Main purpose of log management facility is to correct
invalid punches / exceptions in the software. Invalid punches are those
which comes in following catagories:
Invalid punches: Invalid punches are those which are generated as out of scope for the shift. E.g if shift is defined from 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM and if punches done over terminal at 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM then these punches are beyond the scope for the shift. So through log managment modify facility admin can chage these logs timings.
Exceptions: Following transactions are treated as exceptions:
1. Odd punches: Suppose for total one day if any employee makes odd punches like IN - OUT - IN and last punch he has not made as OUT then according to the software this is wrong thing as for correct generation of reports persons punches needs to be correct one. So that punches can be added through this log management.
Exception report will provide information about the invalid punches in the transaction. So through that transaction admin can find out the date on which the user has made invalid transaction. So in order to correct that punch user will be required to make click on log management. Then he will be require to select particular month and then need to click on date. Then after that admin will be required to make click on "search" button so that all the logs for the particular employee will get displayed. After that admin will be required to make click on the respective employee name. then following window will be displayed
After particular user is selected from the table admin can modify, add, delete punches from the screen. After this admin will be required to click on save button and then reprocessing for the same date will correct the invalid punches.
