New Features Available in FIM2030:
Basically, FIM01, FIM2030 & FIM2040 are derived from the
same base.
The difference is in the type of sensor used. As you know, FIM01 uses OPP01
type sensor. On the other hand, FIM2030 uses OPP03 type sensor and FIM2040 uses
OPP04 type sensor. All products, FIM01,
FIM2030 and FIM2040 support same protocols.
There are some changes. In
hardware, the most important is the change of sensor cable. For supporting
flexible cable, FIM2030 and FIM2040 has some changes in B/D. But these
differences are not detectable from host software.
In
Protocol, the result of CMD_GET_DEVICE_INFO varies according to the
type of device. But I think that it is reasonable to detect type of device.

One more thing is the size of image.FIM01 uses 248x292 image internally or externally. But FIM2030 and FIM2040 use 20x300 images internally. And HD protocol returns 248x292 images externally, but HV protocol returns 260x300 image externally
